I did these for a pitch about a month ago. Nothing came of it, so I figured I'd post them here for you consumption. I cleaned up and coloured (look! I'm British!) the one in the upper left corner as a sample of what a final rendering would look like.

bredan, hah! l actually liked red alot. he's a great guy...doesn't have an artistic bone in his body, but a great guy nontheless. i felt bad for him alot cuz he often got put into odd situations and had to make do.
keelmy, i see what you mean with the shading. anime isn't really my thing, and the client didn't know exactly what they wanted so i tried to give it a few different approaches to the subject.

andy, the pitch was for some avatars for an online anime inspired game. don't know what came of it. i was just asked to do up some rough designs.
i like the eyes and the way you colored them in that final one.
